Can hiccups everytime I start eating be a sign of something more serious?!

Question: I have deliberately slowed down in eating but still have this problem.

Answers: I have deliberately slowed down in eating but still have this problem.

Hiccups are caused by irritation of the diaphragm. This can be caused by many different things such as eating too quickly, taking a cold drink while eating a hot meal, belching, eating very hot or spicy food, laughing vigorously or coughing, drinking alcoholic beverages in excess, crying out loud, smoking or exposure to smoke, electrolyte imbalance, talking too long, or from lack of vitamins.

Keep trying different things, there's not too much a doctor can do for hiccups from these causes. If you have them all the time (even when not eating) it could be something more serious (like a tumor pushing on the diaphragm or kidney disease), but if it only occurs when eating it's probably related to what and how you are eating.

I don't know, death or serious injury may occur

Drink a glass of water before you start eating, that will do it! You just need more water, girl, water, water, water!
