Hun, there are men out there who would date you. Just be up front with any potential partner before you get intimate. I got it from an unfaithful boyfriend when I was 19. I never had a problem with dating. I was surprised at how understanding guys were. It didn't prevent them from wanting to date me. I met my now husband 3 years later. There are precautions you can take to help prevent you from passing it onto someone else (but there is no guarantee). My hubby and I have been married for 14 years now, and he is still Herpes free. He gets tested every year just to be sure. Herpes isn't going to kill you. Anyone who loves you will be understanding. (HUG)
There are people who aren't going to be honest with you here online because they fear that others would think their crazy. But know there are a lot of people who would date someone who has herpes. It does NOT mean you are unlovable or that you are nasty. Anyone who thinks that, is very uneducated on this subject and they don't deserve you. (HUG)

JH da II : There is no cure for herpes as of yet hun. ;)

there are specific dating sites for people with stds so if u leave him, ur dating pool wont be that limited. I personally would not date someone with herpes, but not because i think they're bad people.

STD wise, herpes is curable no? I wished I knew, but I'm no medic. I guess my un-sureness of this fact is my answer. Good Luck Always and may you Take Care Always! :D

Most of these answers are probably from people aged about 12 who think stds are things that happen to other people.

I have had herpes for three years now. I have told several men, and the herpes hasn't been an issue for any of them. None of them have been the slightest bit put off or bothered by it.

If you want to leave him, leave him. Don't let herpes make you stay with a man who isn't right for you - there are plenty of men who are perfectly ok with it and you only have one life so don't waste it.

I am 42yo and have had genital herpes for over 20 years - from my 1st husband...
In the past 20 years I have been married & divorced 2 more times - so obviously 2 men were willing to marry someone with herpes.
and had a total of approximately 70 lovers - ALL of which knew I had herpes before we had sexual contact.

I've only been in ONE situation where I was turned down due to herpes - and I believe that was because he was married and didn't want to put his wife at risk....
UH - no - I did not target married men - I THINK he was married - men lie!
But I do not lie about my HSV2 status - it's something anybody who I have sexual contact with has a right to know

DO NOT VISIT THE HERPES DATING SITES..
THERE IS NO REASON TO FEEL YOU HAVE TO DO THAT!
You cannot limit yourself - and not give yourself a chance to fall in love again - just because he doesn't already have herpes!
BTW - I have not given herpes to ANYone - not even my husband of 12 years - that I know of

i would. only because i have herpes. i might feel more comfortable with someone that has herpes. so i wouldn't have to worry about passing it on or being treated like some diseased leper by some guy that doesn't understand.

Nope

I would'nt take the change of being infected.

herpes sucks. so no.

If you both have it already, shouldn't you stay 2gther?
