What causes eczema????!

Question: Healthy skin is covered in a thin layer of protective oil. It prevents harsh or irritating substances from reaching the skin cells beneath and causing dryness, itching and redness.

However, this layer of oil can be broken down by harsh soaps, bubble baths, biological detergents etc. When these reach the skin they damage and irritate it, causing eczema.

The best treatment for eczema is to wash using unscented, mild soaps, use non-biological washing powder, and apply lots of emollient to the area twice a day. The emollient (a moisturiser like E45 cream or Vaseline) acts as a barrier and soothes the skin, allowing it to heal.

It's not that anything cause it exactly but it is extermly dry, broken skin

I know that my allergies caused it when I was young. Not sure what other causes may be.

A lot of things can trigger it off like stress and cleaning products.

pollution can cause or at least exacerbate the problem

Stress and devastation.

Pollution, chemicals in food, STRESS, intolerance to certain foods and STRESS.
I have had psoriasis, related to eczema, and cleared it by being very carefull with what I ate, it took several weeks, but I am clear.
