How long for a surgical spondlylolisthesis repair?!
Question: What is the usual healing time for a surgical spondylolisthesis repair on the L5 vertebrae, and how long is the hip spiker usually worn, and do all age groups wear a hip spiker?
I'm 16 if that helps.
All questions my doctor haven't answered for me... *sigh* in fact he doesn't come ad see me he sends his registrar. He's supposed to be good but surely a good doctor has time for his patients. :)

I am not sure of the exact the answer to your question, my back problems are different to yours, so I can't really advise you sorry. But I was just looking through the questions and read yours (because it is to do with the spine really) and cant help but feel for you regarding the doctor sending his registrar. I get this all the time and it drives me mad!
Especially when you have had this procedure done and you are anxious and have questions about it. If I were you I would probably write either an e-mail or letter to your consultant's secretary expressing your concerns and asking these questions. She should then forward that to the consultant and I would be surprised if he did not offer you an appointment to see him directly. Its really not fair.
Also, as you are only 16 and you have had a spinal operation already, it would be a good idea for you to have long term care and contact with a local Chiropractor. They will be able to answer your questions in the future and to be honest, manage any pain much better than the medical profession of you ask me.
