Wrap up all your main points first and the see if you can come up with your own thought/theory/statement that relates to what you've been talking about

In the conclusion, highlight the main points that you discussed in your essay and end with a statement that answer the main question your essay addresses.

I am not just sure, I am HIV positive...

i would conclude it that labs these days have gotten many to leave alot longer than 20 yrs ago,. though we need to find a cure.

The conclusion is the Summary of all that was said on the topic. If you asked a question in the opening thesis statement, then the conclusion answers that question.

For example: if within your thesis statement asked "Am I at risk?"; then, in conclusion you could state something like: "given the possible means of aquiring HIV, we are all at risk." Then just summarize or make an action claim for the reader/listener. Like: "please become a donor"; or, "never take risks when it comes to blood born pathogens"... or whatever you have previously gone into detail about.

"We are all at risk and it just doesn't happen to poor people from Ethiopia. Once diagnosed there are some possible avenues for stalling the disease and its ailments, but science is a few years out on finding the cure. So, always be causious to blood: whether from a cut of a child or your own; please keep it from spreading to others directly or indirectly. One thing we can all do for victims of HIV is to become a donor. It's easy to do and you could be saving a life or solving the problem for us all through scientific research."

I find it is easier to write if you believe in the subject matter. It is easier when you simply state in words your thoughts or research; then write that!

Good luck!

hard to say without reading your essay. but summarize your main points and end with a strong statement that reinforces why the topic is important still.

For example:
Although we have come a long way since the emergence of HIV/AIDS in the early 1980's, a cure remains elusive and many people worldwide go without treatment and many more are infected daily. We need to continue to look for a cure while amping up our prevention measures and education on a worldwide level.

But that only works if you have touched upon HIV on a global level...the point is that people read the essay and understand that its an important topic.
