Isnt it embarassing to be labeled the top contributor of the STD section?!

Question: Absolutely not.

I consider it an honour and a privilege.

There is too much stigma and shame attached to sexually transmitted infections (and sexuality in general), and as a result, too few people talk about them, and too many acquire infections

It is important to make sure that correct and accurate information get out to as many people as possible ---they have a RIGHT to know this sort of information so that they can protect themselves from further infection, help prevent transmission, and get good medical care.

So, I am not embarassed in the slightest. In fact, I tell all my friends about it.

not when you're planning on STI prevention being the largest part of your carreer.

no it just means that they have a lot of info on it..maybe they went to school to become a doctor or nurse..just because they have info about it doesnt mean they have an std

LOL

no, its only embarassing if you are the top contributor of stds lol!!!!

I don't think so, i think it means that they are more informed. Probably due to knowledge gained through a profession or something like that. There are people that study STD's or it could be from personal experience. If it is, it shouldn't be embarrassing for them, they should be commended for trying to share their knowledge.

it doesnt mean that they are well schooled on STD's because they have them......
it means they are WELL EDUCATED!! or they paid attention in sex ed! come on... std's arent rocket science. most of it is common sense.

not really. some people like to poke fun at that but doesn't get to me. i even have an std so so i know something about them.

So you're telling me people who know alot about deceases should be embarrassed? Boy in THAT case, I feel bad for the many doctors we have in this world.

Not for me.

I guess I'm not ashamed of my sexuality. Which unfortunately may still be unusual for a woman.

And I'm not ashamed of knowing how to protect myself and my partners so that we can have sex as safely as possible.

I'm sorry that you feel that knowledge about sex is something that people should be ashamed of or embarrassed about. You might want to re-think that position.

Great question.

I would think so. It at least implies that the person spends his time on the subject-a preoccupation, OCD.

not really some people are just good at different things

No it just means that you are knowledgeable and you are careful.
