Ear congestion from sinus infection?!

Question: I've had a sinus infection and been on Allegra-D and an antibiotic.

My sinuses have calmed down and I am starting to feel a little better.

However my ears are still very clogged and congested with snot/mucus (gross I know).

How do I alleviate the ear congestion?

Sudafed has not helped, drinking alot of water seems to help a little bit.

you'll need antibiotics to help get the fluid out. finish the rest of your antibiotics and if it's still there call the doctor and he could let you get a refill.

Tylenol Cold & Sinus works wonders in clearing out my ears after a cold.

Hope you feel better.

As long as you do not have ear drum damage pour hydrogen peroxide in your ears. It dissolves the wax.
Pour into the right ear until it stops bubbling, then do the left.
And it'll only cost you a buck and some change.

If antihistamines aren't helping enough (non-allergy ones if you can?), you can buy ear wax removal kits from CVS, Walgreens, etc. Just noted to be careful since doctors use more advanced stuff, ear irrigation which they have to do carefully.

Just go to CVS.com and search for "ear". Hope it helps.

My Ear/Nose/Throat Dr. told me that blowing your nose really hard can force mucus into your ears. (I know! Totally gross.) Try using a sinus flush (a solution that you squirt up your nose, and it cleans all the gunk out, much more effective than blowing your nose) You could also try a medication like Mucinex. Your ears could be clogged with wax, and in that case, you should go have your Dr. clean out your ears. Don't stick anything in them, like Q-tips, that will just force things to become compacted. Good luck!

continue medicine, it will take time
