Can a pharmacist swab my throat to test for strep throat?!

Question: i have a mild sore throat for about 2-3 days and i've been easing the pain by drinking some tea (yerba mate), will a pharmacist be able to tell me if i have strep and which antibiotics to take?

Nope. A pharmacist cannot do a throat swab. A doctor or nurse must do that. Neither can they diagnose strep throat.

Based upon the diagnosis, they can recommend an antibiotic, but they cannot order it. That has to come from a doctor or nurse practitioner as well.

gargle with salt water

NO NEVER !!THEY HAVE A LICENSE TO DISPENSE PILLS NOT DIAGNOSE.THEY DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO TEST WITH,AND BESIDES THE PHARMACY IS CONSIDERED A CLEAN AREA , I WOULD GROSS OUT TO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE BODY FLUIDS BACK THERE WITH MY MEDICATION THAT I WILL BE TAKING.

No. You have to see a doctor.

nope.

not only may they be unable to, they are forbidden to.

go see a doctor.

(and look at it from the pharmacists side too: he doesn't get paid to do that! why should you ask him to do something that isn't in his job description? this APART from the fact that he's not qualified and he could go to jail for it.)
