Do u think there is a safe way to be with someone that has aids?!

Question: Nobody should want to contract AIDS. The whole bug-catcher thing is just asinine.

But for those of you who are HIV positive, there is lots of hope for you to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

First things first, you have to always be honest with yourself, your partners and take total responsibility for any and all of your actions. This should be the standard for ALL people, but when you're dealing with something like HIV, it becomes so much more important.

Take your meds. Take them as directed. They don't work for everyone, and there are side effects, and you have to accept that. With current technology, highly-active antiretroviral therapy is the best shot we've got for prolonging the lives of people with HIV.

Ditch your unhealthy lifestyle choices. Eat healthy. Exercise. Don't use drugs. Don't shoot up anything (including 'roids). Stop drinking and smoking. Don't screw around. You have to take care of yourself because you do have a serious health condition.

If you have a long-term partner, ALWAYS use condoms to protect them from HIV. Condoms work. They really do. And your partner needs to be tested for HIV every 3 to 6 months. If the condom breaks, you partner can go to the emergency room right away and get post-exposure prophylaxis. This can help them not acquire HIV, even if they ave been exposed to it.

And don't stigmatize. You are still a person even if you have HIV. You deserve to be treated with dignity. To the other answerer, telling HIV+ folks that no one will love them is just jacked up. Lots of HIV+ people have long-lasting, loving relationships, even with HIV- partners. HIV is not easy, and it helps to have a loving, supporting social network.

If I were you I wouldn't take that chance. HIV/AIDS is the worst STD you can get. Protect yourself. When it comes to STD's protect yourself now before it is too late.

Think about this.
You have sex with someone who is positive for HIV/AIDS and they say "I love you!" well you believe them and you have sex with them and sadly they give you with HIV virus (Which you HAVE to live with for the rest of your life /// There is no cure /// There is medication to slow the process of HIV before it turns into AIDS but no cure) anyways That person you gave you HIV decides hey I don't love you anymore and you guys break up. You are left with the mistake for the rest of you life.

What people don't know.
HIV/AIDS doesn't kill you!!! All it does is break down you immune system so bad that you body can no longer fight infections and the common cold can kill you.

I am not saying HIV/AIDS is not deadly becuz it very much is due to the fact that is breaks down you immune system and there is no cure for it and sometimes even with medication the HIV virus is so extreme that medication can't control it and sadly you get the common cold you are a goner.

Also think about this. You have sex with someone whi give you HIV and you guys break up. You most likely will never have a relationship again. Who wants to marry someone who as HIV???? Not me!!!!

Some ppl die within the first 6 months they have HIV/AIDS. The MAX is 10 years WITH MEDICATION!!!!!!!!!

PROTECT YOURSELF BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!!!!

While another person who answered thinks you are referencing a sexual togetherness, I assume nothing.
It is perfectly safe to be with an HIV positive and/or AIDS victim. You would be safe hugging, kissing, using same bathroom, eating from washed dishes he/she previously used - almost any activity that does not involve direct exchange of body fluids (blood, semen, wound exudate).

Actually, HIV/AIDS is not easily transimitted. CDC studies indicate that repeated close contact with body fluids and/or contaminated needles is required.

No for sure. Because the condom protect you 95%, I mean that you have 5% chance to develop the HIV if you have sex with infected person. But your eyes must be open for every minute, you can be infected on many other ways. If you wont to know much more about the AIDS, visit the link:

I wouldn't risk it. Is being with this person really worth your health and eventually your life????????
