I am sorry but there must be many more complications than you have stated here. Diabetes when uncontrolled effects almost all other organs.
I would suggest and strongly advise your Mum to get a second opinion. I did - and it turned my life around
There is not much you can do, except to be there to support and encourage her and let her know that you love her.

I am so sorry to hear that, I hope she gets well soon. I am sure she will eventually get better than before, she just has to take her medications, and be positive. Maybe she has to change her lifestyle.
it takes time to heal wounds--and cure illnesses.as of now,she doesn't have to be pushed to work or do anything she actually cant yet.to help lessen her burden,give your mom something she'd enjoy and lift her spirit for a positive outlook.she would also need your company so i advice that you stay with her and don't forget to pray for her.. 0:)
