Health tests (diabetes), do they cost a lot of money?!

Question: I have for some time exhibited some minor symptoms of diabetes, and though it has yet to affect me, I do want to know, but I really can't afford much...do tests cost a lot?

Blood glucose tests are free or low cost at most health departments and low income clinics. . For more info on symptoms of diabetes so you can know if you may need testing please see http://www.diabetes.org/home.jsp

It depends where you live. It is cheap in India, astronomical in USA and free in UK.

Find a free clinic or a clinic where they bill you according to your income.

from where i live, tests for diabetes are quite affordable. :)

just a tip... it's a lot better to spend now for your tests than to find about your condition later when it has already reached a critical stage... :)

The symptoms of diabetes are excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, weight loss, blurry vision, infections of the bladder, urinary tract or skin that are slow to heal, dry, itchy skin. People seldom have all of the symptoms. A simple blood test is all that is needed to confirm your suspicions, or ease your mind. The blood test itself isn't expensive, but you will have an office call to pay for also so if you can't afford a private doctor go to a free clinic --- but go some place and soon. If you do have diabetes you don't want to put it off.
This can be relatively easy to control if you get help early, but it can be dangerous if you let it go. Good luck to you.
