They may give you some topical freezing cream (USE IT!!). They pretty much burn it off -- so, yes, it is painful -- but the pain lasts for only seconds....

I had this done:the Dr will freeze the area for sure(lidocain, like at the dentist)After you go home, it may throb a bit, depending on the area, where it was removed from.
I buy a Polysporin cream with some pain meds in it:lidocain in the cream freeze the area.Its the Polysporin in the red package.
