It doesn't sound like arthritis, but possibly carpel tunnel syndrome.
Does the weather, or exercise affect it at all? Often, people who have arthritis notice that it gets worse when the barometric pressure drops. Strange, I know.

sounds like a circulation problem, nerves or carpal tunnel. get it checked out cuz something is strained.
