Is there a way to reduce stomach acid?!

I don't have an "alternative medicine" way of doing this for you, but H2 blockers or even better Proton Pump Inhibitors like Protonix or Prevacid work extremely well.

I've had a lot of success with Prilosec. I know it's not a natural remedy though. Another thing that works for me is to drink milk. I've been told by doctor's that that's actually bad because you stomach produces more acid to combat it, but it can provide temporary relief, and I've never had issues with it coming back worse.

--Eliminate foods & beverages high in acid (get a list from the Web)

--If you have high-acid foods & beverages occasionally, have them with food that is a good buffer (for example, coffee is high acid, so if you have that in the morning, have it with toast, which is not high acid, and will buffer the affects)

--Take Tums, or Pepcid Complete, or a combination to handle symptoms

--Don't drink carbonated beverages, but drink plenty of water to dilute the stomach acid

--Eat smaller, more frequent meals; stuffing yourself puts strain on the esophagus, which is the weak link that lets the acid out of your stomach to begin with; some of the "fixes" like this are "mechanical"

--Don't eat and then lie down; it's a mechanical way to address this, as well

--Lose weight, if you are overweight; many reasons why excessive body weight makes this condition worse
