Is it true that some tea tree oil and yogurt can cure the early stages of thrush!

Question: Hi there'
I woke up in a lot of pain a few days ago so I glanced inside my mouth and saw weird gross bums on the back of my tougne. I went to the doctor who said not to worry about it, but the nurse said it did look funny.I woke up today and it was worse , It had a thin fleshy coating on it and more bumps. I looked at pics on the Internet and asked some knowledgeable people who agree it's thrush.

So anyways my Q is does tea tree oil (diluted with a bit of warm water) cure thrush?

Also I have my friend going out to buy some natural sugarless yougart. Will this help? And if so how long will it take?

I WILL pick an answer thanks so much for your help

Oh and I stopped my antibiotic creme (Its ok too but since I was using some this is how I also know)

ahh..another oral candida sufferer...
i had that same problem.
i got it from the antibiotics after my wisdom teeth surgery, which caused the yeast to get out of control. (yes, oral candida/thrush IS a fungus..dusgusting i know)
mine were centralized on my tonsils in huge clumps, but its the same.
most antifungals taste disgusting, so if you can stand a few days longer using yogurt, i would go that direction.
and yes, yogurt will help. the natural bacteria in it will help control the yeast growth. it cant cure it because yeast lives in your mouth anyway, but its normally contained by the natural helpful bacteria in your mouth.
if you dont like the taste of yogurt you dont have to get the natural sugarless kind. lol i loaded mine with sugar and candy/fruit to get over the taste. it still works to loosen the yeast.
i dont know about tea tree oil, but you can stick with just yogurt for now. and if you want, you can ask your doctor for a few pills to counteract vaginal yeast infections. im not positive if they work but i did get rid of my infection faster taking one of those every few days.
it generally depends on how bad the infection is and when you start taking yogurt, as well as how much you eat it. not being able to stand yogurt, i only had one cup a day. so it took me a little while. the more you take, probably the faster it will go away.
if you get big chunks like mine that are protruding, i have a tip to get rid of them quicker. after a few days on yogurt, always swallow to that side. the food can scrape the yeast off, and you'll feel better immediately after its off.

You shouldn't have stopped your antibiotics without talking it over with your Dr. You can cause more problems and develop a superinfection or develop resistance like MRSA which is antibiotic resistant. You definately got thrush, if thats what it is, from the antibiotics and some people are more sensitive than others to this. Antibiotics treat all bacteria, good and bad. So that is why women get a yeast infection sometimes when they take antibiotics and the stronger the antibiotic then the more likely you are to get a yeast infection somewhere. Your Dr. will give you an antifungal for the thrush but yogurt will also work. And the amount of time depends on how bad and how long you have had the infection.

Doctor prescribed a mixture of benadryl and milk of magnesia when my son had this. Swish 2-3 times a day. Good luck!

I don't know about thrush, but when I get bumps/sores on my tongue, or anywhere inside my mouth, I use Gly-Oxide and kanka. First I apply the Gly-Oxide and try to keep the area open for 2-3 minutes. Spit that out and apply the kanka. Depends on what is going on, But I do this at least just before bedtime. Works for me. Sores in the mouth heal from the inside out, so it seems to take longer ...
