Herpes Hsv-1?!

Question: My boyfriend was diagnosed with Hsv-1 but instead of oral its genital. and i'm wondering what that would mean for me, if i have it. like what are the differences between hsv-1 and 2? like i know that hsv-2 is more severe, but would i have the same outbreaks and stuff with hsv-1? or fewer and less severe? and is the liklihood that i get it very certain?

I also have genital hsv-1.

Genital hsv-1 is usually caught through oral sex. 8 out of 10 people have the hsv-1 virus, usually on our mouths. It is the main (95-97%) cause of cold sores.

If you have ever had a cold sore in your life, and if you are one of the 8 out of 10 people that has oral hsv-1, you cannot catch it from him because you already have the virus.

This is from the Herpes Viruses Association website:

"If you and your partner have the same virus you will not reinfect each other - even on a different part of the body. So, if you have caught it on your genital from your partner
