Sorry, but your doctor is an idiot. Redness, swelling, heat and pain are normal signs of inflammation. Inflammation is the body's natural response to injury. The body looks at surgery (like boil drainage) as an injury. It's expected that the site will be red and painful. A fever, however, is not normal. Heat at the site would be normal, but a fever means that something in her body (bacteria) is causing a systemic (whole body) reaction. I personally can't make a diagnosis, because that's out of my scope of practice, but if I could see it, I could give you a pretty good idea about whether or not it's infected. Based on the info given here, I would say infection. Find a different doc.... go to the ER and see what they think. I could be wrong.. but I don't like the sound of that fever.
By the way, did your doc even draw blood to check her WBC count or anything? If not, seriously find a new doc...

Woah, visit emerg ASAP. It doesn't matter what it is, the important thing is that a) her leg is swollen, which usually means more infection and b) she has a really high fever

Whether it will pass or not it not important, play it safe.

that is bad is she OK I'm sorry just take her to emergency room now and be care full
