7 year old keeps getting rashes?!
Question: my daughter has got rashes two times in less then a mouth. she has had this happen off & on since she was about 1. the doc. did blood work to test for diff. allergies. i was woundering what the chances are of her being allergic to cats & dogs seeing as we had had both all her life & she only gets th rashes every few years? thanks. :)

What does the rash look like. My son had a red lumpy rash and sometimes just little smal light red prickly bumps (clustered, though) on his abdomen, legs, neck, different areas at different times. His physician sent him to an allergist who actually tested him for everything. No allergies. So on my own I took him to a dermatologist who told me it was atopic dermatitis (however you spell it) and he has to use liquid benadryl for itching during a breakout. Daily (even if no breakout) he has to use dove soap and unscented moisturizer. very important to moisturize after every bath. No perfumes or anything in the lotion though. I actually bought a tube from the dr. and it really covers well and you don't use much. My son is also 7. since I started doing this and went to the dermatologist, he has not had a breakout. It's been almost 2 years.! Good luck to you both. :)
