Air purifier or vacuum for pet dander?!
Question: Have an 8 lb. "toy" miniature schnauzer. Not shedding, supposedly good for people with allergies, but my wife still has reaction to the dog. Are there any good vacuums or air purifiers which would help with limiting dander?

OK #1 What are you feeding Ur dog?? Pet food have so much preservatives in the m like BHA BHT MSG, this can also be causing the problems.

I have horrid allergies since birth so I know where Ur wife is coming from. that is why I Have Portuguese water dog's
the raw diet will really help there skin and coat and overall health. check the shampoo you are using there is no real regulatory unit governing what junk they put in dog products. Bark2basics rocks, no lanolin.
who grooms your dog?? sometimes they use powders that sould be causing the allergen.
make sure you are hand stripping him it is needed with this breed.

try putting a table spoon of olive oil in your dogs food everyday.after about two weeks his skin will moisten up which would cut down on the dander.the trick worked for my Golden Ret.
I have a cat and I use a Dyson 'Animal' which has a hepa filter and works really well.
