How will this swollen lymph node go away?!

Question: It in my neck, on my left side.

I've had it for a couple of months now.

It's not by any means large but, I can still feel it when I raise my chin and tilt my head to the side.

Any medicine I could take to make it go away?

It don't find it big enough to worry a doctor and it's not painful.

Just annoying because I know it's there. =p

Is the fact that I started my early allergies right after I got over my cold any factor in hindering its ridence?

You need to worry a doctor. It could be something as simple as an infection. It could also be a sign of cancer. Any time you have a swollen lymph node for over a week you should see your doctor. Most of you lymph nodes are not shallow enough to see if they are swollen. One you can see in your neck could mean that many more are swollen.

95% of the time it will be something simple to treat. For the other 5% of the time it is not seeing a doctor early can save you life.

Lymphnodes are a part of the immune system. They help filter germs that make us sick. They naturally get bigger when they have to work harder at times of our illness. However, after we get better, they shrink. Sometimes, they remain bigger than normal, but if they do not hurt, are smaller than a quarter, slide between fingers when you try to feel them, are rather on the soft side, and there is no redness or drainage, nothing to worry. Just watch them. If they hurt, are hot, drain pus, you have a fever, or the nose enlarges significantly, see you health care provider ASAP.

The doctor will give you an antibiotic. If that dont work doctor will remove it .local- right in doctors office.Get tests done first like i did .C scan with iodine,
