I've heard of cases where they gradually disappear but thats never happend for me. You should go to the doctor or your local clinic(ie planned parenthood) and get the warts treated. The doctor should prescribe you a topical cream and its pretty effective. If the cream doesn't work(usually does) you can get them removed by the docotor by acid(isn't as bad as it sounds) or cryotherapy(freezing them off) In rare cases, surgery is necassary. Anyways, my main point...go to the doctor!!!

a few days or so

Genital warts will NOT go away in a day or two. You need to get them professionally removed by a doctor. You can have them treated with chemicals which takes a long time or you can have them lasered or burnt off which is a one or two time thing. The longest part is the healing process from the treatment. Also once you have HPV you have it for life and the warts may come back.

most likely, it doesnt go away
Papillomaviruses are a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans and a variety of animals. Approximately 130 human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been identified.

Some HPV types may cause warts while others may cause a subclinical infection resulting in precancerous lesions. All HPVs are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact and/or by fomites.

A group of about 30-40 HPVs is typically transmitted through sexual contact and infect the anogenital region. Some sexually transmitted HPVs may cause genital warts. However, other HPV types which may infect the genitals do not cause any noticeable signs of infection.

Persistent infection with a "high-risk" subset of sexually transmitted HPVs
