I assume you already told the landlord?

Since you rent, you can actually report the problem to the housing board in your county. Whether or not they'll do anything about it is another matter. If you're sure its mold, just cleaning up what you can see will not be enough since it is likely all in the floors and walls, too. If you can get help, great. If not, maybe it's time to start looking for another place and this will give you one more thing to look for whenever you do decide to make your next move.

If you can't get help and can't move then 2 things (but don't do these until your sure no one is going ot come investigate since these suggestions will make the visible problem less obvious)

1) Use a bleach solution to cleanse the whole area. Obviously be sure you can ventilate the area while you do this and keep your kids away until after the air clears and everything evaporates. you may need to repeat this periodically throughout the year.

2) Keep the humidity level at or below 40%. This will mean getting a dehumidifier and a humidity meter. Mold only grows in humid areas so this will make it tough for any more to grow.

I don't see your pictures?
Most houses have mold...but not all mold makes you sick. Typically mold will need a moisture source try using a box fan to dry out your sand (old house?).

If you have recently had hard rain or have improper drainage...the water may not be running away from the house properly. Sometime you only need a shovel to dig the dirt away and leave a slope away from your foundation. Also a downspout that has come loose.

A lot of children now a days are constantly sick..thank your doctor, the NIH, FDA, Local government, and Drug companies for your child poor health. Vaccines are only good for drug company profits...not public health. Even the WHO (world health organization) said that almost all disease are preventable by maintaing a healthy diet.
