Any advice for renal cell carcinoma, stage 2?!
Question: I'm a 27-year old woman diagnosed in Mar 08 with renal cell carcinoma stage 2. Left kidney & adrenal gland were removed. The tumor is 5.8 cm but confined to the kidney. Tumor started to bleed and that's how it was discovered. I had a chest CAT Scan last week and it was normal (Thank God).
Is it possible to find if the tumor had spread only with a CAT Scan and this soon after the surgery?
What should I expect from now on?
I'll participate in a clinical trial (Sutent), is this useful?

My wife was diagnosed with stage iv renal cell carcinoma in oct.2003.They took her left kidney and both adrenal glands.She has been on sutent for almost a year and doing very well.There are some side affects but her tumors are shrinking, so it is definitely worth it.
