IBS, Ulcerative Colitus and Crohns discease have all similar symptoms, cramps, diahorea, hot/cold sweats, nausea, bloating feeling, blood in the stools, and exhaustion, if you notice a change, when you go on the toilet, especially if blood is present you must contact a doctor, I have had U/C for over 15 years, my doctor thought I had piles! I have since been told I can no longer have the drug prednisolone, due to I now have early stages of brittle bone discease, please get a second opinion,!

I get burning from Pancreatitis (Inflammation of the pancreas)
IBS is usually inflammation in the intestine colon, Colitis can also have the same symptoms have you been tested for that?..

Could be any number of things like an ulcer or a bladder infection. See a doctor.

If you feel that you are being fobbed off. Call upon a different medical person. It may be harmless but make sure that this is the case.

The doc will fob you off with IBS. Just after they've opened you up for suspected appendicitis, they'll probably find that your suffering from Crohn's, and remove your infected area, leaving you worrying about a colostomy

i think its called goonerfreefallitus causes a sharp pain in the arsenal and really really messes with your season

I have Irritable bowel syndrome and mostly the symptoms are that your either constipated or having diarrhea with some cramping which the drug Bentyl should alleviate, while causing you to feel drowsy. Someone else mentioned Pancreatitis. I had that twice, and that's a trip to the emergency room for sure, resulting in hospitalization. That pain is so severe, you can't turn from side to side in a laying position. It is a disabling pain that shoots, like fire, from your stomach to your back - truly unbearable. They had to keep me on IV with like a morphine-drip or something, and I could only use a wet sponge to wet my mouth , no food or water allowed. So let's not all play doctor here!
You're doctor sounds like a few I've had; they'll have you thinking it's all in your head by the time they get done prescribing short-term prescripts ions.

Remember, testing is costly and time-consuming. A lousy doctor will avoid putting you through testing or referring you to a specialist, which by now makes "him" look stupid, in this stage of the game. If the pain is persistent, there almost all of almost every day, and is causing you other problems that affect your quality of life, you need to go to the E.R. my friend - immediately!

Not to scare you or anything but, this is rare and may have nothing to do with you at all. For almost two (2) years my ex-husband, just 33yrs. old, had burning pain in his lower abdomin, loose stools or constipation but not a whole lot much more than that to make his stubborn *** go to see a doctor. Eventually, the pain got so intense, he was forced to hit the E.R. They gave him all kinds of exams and blood work. They dismissed him with some minor ailment. This went on a few times. Finally, they gave him an ultra-sound and found a large mass in his colon. Then they sent him for further exams. Eventually a specialist found that he had colon cancer!!! Unfortunately, they kept dismissing him as "not serious," to the point that the cancer spread to stage three (3), to his lymph nodes, almost out into the rest of his body. He had a long, hard surgery, where they removed much of his colon - any more, they would have had to put him on a bag! Fortunately, after much chemotherapy (horrible) he has been cancer-free for almost thirteen (13) years.

Please, listen to me! If you believe your condition is serious, get your butt to the ER, and don't let them let you leave until you are tested in every possible way. You deserve that...and a better PCP, too!!!
