Throwing up, pain, blood...worried bout my hubby?!
Question: my husband called and said he's been running around all day at work and hasn't had a break.. and that he threw up 4 times, he last time there was bright red blood. now he's having stabbing stomach pains and ibs symptoms... i told him to go to the hospital, or that i will come pick him up and take him, he says no he'll be fine... should i be worried?? what can it be from?

Ummm....yeah Yoda said it was super busy and that your man was running around mad style. I would be worried. Remember when I took my man in? Thats what it was for. And at the rate he's been throwing up, he could be getting dehyrated. Basically, the doctors say that when you throw up so much, you get dehyrated and then you also are upsetting your esophogus (can't spell that!!!). And that the blood in the vomit might be from that. But if thats the case, then he would show maybe one bright red streak and then the next time he vommited it would be more of a pinkish brownish color. If he thinks he'll be ok though, then he probably will be. He's prolly just frustrated with work and the fact that he didn't get a break doesnt help. That would upset his stomach even more than just the vomitting. But if he throws up when he gets home again, then take him in. :)
vomiting blood is never good. It is hard to tell what may be wrong, but throwing up four times in one day and with blood, not a good thing.
He should seek medical help, soon.
You should be worried. It seems like he has very bad ulcers. bleeding ulcers can be deadly, tell him to go to a hospital immediately.
if he is throwing up blood, you need to get him medical help immediately!! i don't know what it is from, but it is definitely not good.
I am actually thinking apendix???? If not, he might have a stomach virus or could even have food poisoning. Hospital would be a great idea!!!! I wish you could keep us posted!!
