well , it seems that you are speaking about rodent ulcer which a cancer called Basal cell carcinoma which is actually the most common cancer of the skin , involves the sun exposed areas above the line drawn between the angle of the mouth and the lobe of the ear. It is locally destructive ,yet rarely metastasise. Treatment is excision .
As apposed to melanoma , itis the most fatal skin cancer can recur after resection many years after and in wierd places
