Hey my mums exactly the same..she gets really tired, swollen ankles etc after eating wheat products so she's following a coeliac diet (wheat and gluten free)she's been on it for about a fortnight now and she said she could feel the difference after a day! Its worth at least looking into?!Good Luck..Hope you start to feel better soon =) Xx.

It sounds more like a sensitivity to wheat. Best thing is to stay away from it & try some other grains that might not affect you this way.

it doesn't sound drastic enough to be an allergy, your just really sensitive to it. I would get it checked out, and ease up on the wheat as much as possible.

I am allergic to wheat myself. If bloating is all you have a problem with consider yourself lucky. I have to tell you that rice is one of the main grains us wheat allergy people eat. Try not to eat foods with wheat for at least 3-4 weeks. If is doesn't improve by then, you should see a dr. You could have a whole range of different problems and just staying away from one type of grain may not help you. Also do some google-ing see what comes up. Good Luck!

I am allergic to wheat but my symptoms are very different to your so it's more likely that you have a wheat or gluten intolerence, true wheat allergy is rare. Get yourself to your GP, most NHS Trusts have allergy clinics these days so you can get referred for tests to make sure. Good luck!

Hi Magic. Please take your allergic reaction very seriously - you may have Celiac Disease. Ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist in Celiac Disease where you can get proper testing for this dangerous disease.

Best wishes and good luck.
