Trouble with a suspected prolapse?!

Question: I am 42 years old and have had 4 kids. 4 Years ago, i had a prolapse operation. I had been fine until the other day, it felt like it was on its way down again. I was at my wits end. I made an appointment with a doctor who is well known for performing oeprations on this procedure. he told me that it was down a bit, but for my age its normal and i dont need an operation. He told me that i am not allowed to lift any heavy stuff or do weights or anything that will trigger the prolapse to come down. But why do i feel that i can hardly move?? I cant bend down as it kills me with the pain and the dragging down feeling. I feel old. Should i get a second opinion or what?? I feel that i can hardly walk today cos its dragging and my stomach looks like i am 6 months pregnant. Any advice from women that have went through the same thing would be great. Thanks....

Uterine prolapse is descent of the uterus toward or past the introitus. Vaginal prolapse is descent of the vagina or vaginal cuff after hysterectomy. Symptoms include vaginal pressure and fullness. Diagnosis is clinical. Treatment includes reduction, pessaries, and surgery.

Doctors are not perfect, always ask for a second opinion if there is any doubt in your mind about his diagnosis.

I wish you all the best.

I have not gone through the same, but I would most definitely get a second opinion, because it does sound as though it has prolapsed again
See another doctor, if its not that you have lost nothing, and put your mind at rest

sorry i havent been through the same thing but if you are feeling so ill go back and see somone else explain how much pain and discomfort you are in and that you want it to be properly investigated ( scan,)
