Sinus Infection or allergies?? Cold? Please help!!!?!

Question: Ok, so yesterday I started to get sick and i'm really sick today and i don't know what it is. My ears hurt a lot and I can feel them being like itchy and clogged up and stuff, and my neck hurts so bad. it's so sore, like all the fluid drained from my ears into my neck or something, but it feels kind of swollen and really hurts to move it or keep my head up. I'm really really tired and sometimes i feel warm, but other times i'm freezing. I do get bad allergies, but i've never had them this bad before, though the ragweed and pollen here is pretty bad right now. Please tell me what this is so I know what medicine to take or whether to go to the doctor or not.

I would say it's the flu because you don't get a high temperature (chills) with allergies. Unfortunately, there is always a bug out there between the cold and allergy season to confuse people. You should go to your doctor and see if there's anything he/she can give you to make it better aside from drinking plenty of fluids (your body is producing mucous by the gallons, you're going to be dehydrated), eating (got to give your body some fuel to help fight this, soups like a hearty chicken noodle with veggies), and plenty of rest (stay home & don't share it with strangers or friends, they'll appreciate it), your body is exhausted and given rest, it'll recover quicker.

It sounds like the flu from what you have described. Especially getting cold then hot then cold really quick (known as an increased hypothalamic set point) and the muscle pain.

The common symptoms of the flu include:
* Fever (usually high)
* Headache
* Muscle aches
* Chills
* Extreme tiredness
* Dry cough
* Runny nose may also occur but is more common in children than adults
