How long will it take to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of my car?!

Question: Okay, so I am 18-years-old, and I smoked a cigarette in my car this morning. It was cold outside, so I did keep my windows up. My parents would kill me if they found out, so I have to keep my windows closed when I'm at home so they won't smell it. Approximately how long will it take for the smell to clear out of my car if I keep the windows and doors closed at all times? Any suggestions on how to speed up the process?

I let someone smoke in my car once and it *never* came out of the fabric. Keeping the windows down for a few days helped, Febreeze was okay for awhile, but I could still smell it every time I got in the car.

use febreeze

The only thing you really can do is let the windwos up because the scent is just oging to soak into your seats.

Why are you smoking anyways?
Dumb!

go to the store and buy some freshener there is some specifically for cig smoke

Stop smoking you maniac. You might die!

Try some Febreeze. And put the cigarettes away. All they do is suck money from you and put your health at risk.

Use Febreeze Extra Strength on fabric.

don't smoke and you won't have anything to hide!

Get a car freshner. Leave your windows cracked for a few minutes after you smoke. Or shampoo and clean your car at least once a week.

1st. Stop smoking into the car. 2nd. Maka a upholstery cleaning on sits and fabrics.3rd.keep windows open as possible. If your parents are notsmokers, they will notice the smell very very easy

GET SOME REALLY GOOD SMELLING SPRAY
AND THEN GO TO A FRIENDS HOUSE AND LEAVE THE WINDOWS DOW\N

get on the highway with the windows down and opened and use air refresher, spray f.breeze in your car to take out the odor of the smoke, all this can take up to 5 minutes.

Cigarette smoke in any inclosed area is FOREVER that smell espically to someone who does not smoke, will be clear and present even SEVERAL days later! Cigarette odor clings onto your clothes, hair, body, windows, seats ETC I would recommend either stopping smoking, or not do it in your car again!!!!!

ps, non smokers can smell smoke on YOU as well, HOURS after you smoke!!!! keep that in mind as well!

maybe a few days. the smoke lingers on. spray some air freshner.

Go to the store and get some Fabreeze and spray it on all of the surfaces that are fabric. This will take the smell out of the car. You will need to do the same thing to your clothes, and your skin and hair.

The easiest and best thing you can do is to quit smoking. It has no up side to it, and the amount of downside is considerable. I smoked for a very long time, and quit cold turkey. Mind over matter. I wish I had all the money I spent on cigs.

Dan

If the car is yours, why do your parents get to dictate what you do in the car?? They need to get onto the fact that you are 18...

Spray some febreeze on the fabric, use windex to clean windows, and some armor all or something to clean the dash and and other vinyl type cleaner. Or if you have leather interior, use leather cleaner. Clean everything good. But one of those vent clip air fresheners that clips onto your air vents. now, take a 30 minute drive with both windows rolled down all the way with heat or air conditioner on to blow the freshener scent into the car. This is your best bet.
