STD Trouble?!

Question: If you met someone who had an STD before (but was not currently showing any symptoms) would you be prepared to sleep with and be married to them?

Or would this be a dealbreaker?

It depends on how you feel about this person. Herpes are no joke and they are permanent.

dealbreaker. but if i really loved the person, then condoms would be the way to go.

Dealbreaker.

Depends on the STD.
I don't mean to be sick, I'm saying that if they had an STD that was curable and they cured it...
then there's no problem.
If they told me they had genital herpes or something...
I dunno.

Hmm...kinda depends which STD we're talking about...

i dont think it would be too much fun to live with an STD. so i'd have to say no to anyone who had one. i'd ask them before i started dating them if they have any STD's, if so, I plan on not dating them. If they don't know, i'd make him get checked first, depending on his past sexual activity. haha, i dont meet a guy and from the start say "go get tested!" lol, that would scare him off! Lol. but yeah, i'm not a fan of std's.

well i wouldn't think it would be a good idea to have only a physical relationship or just jump into things quickly. But it wouldn't stop me from considering the person to date. i read somewhere that 1 in 3 people will contract HPV sometime within their lifetime and there are several different strains of HPV only 2 that show symptoms of it. so.. some people have stds without even knowing it. I think everyone should consider the risks before sleeping with anyone, anyone could have an STD, and wearing a condom doesn't always prevent getting an std. if it would be a deal breaker, no. But people should use more judgement before getting into a phsyical relationship with anyone. Being honest about an STD can make things more difficult or easier, it really just depends on the person. I'm sure you'll get several different answers from your question.
