Three weeks ago I didn;t feel good and I went to the ER cuz my BP was 150/98 and they did a blood test and said that I am ok and there is nothing wrong with my kidneys, heart, liver and I am healthy, but couple a days after same thing happend and I had to go back to the ER with the same BP readings. I got very scared, they checked me out again and they said anxiety is the problem. The doc gave me some kind of pills for the anxiety and said that I ll be fine .Next day I called cardiologist and went to see him, he sent me for additional blood tests and urine tests and EKG and ECHO cardiogram also. When the results came he called me and he said that everything is compliteley normal. I stoped all supplements and work out. My BP is stil going up and down.At daytime it's about 130/80 and after 5 6 pm it goes up to 144-150/80-90

There's no such thing as being too young to have high blood pressure. However, it's the CAUSE that needs to be treated, not just the numbers. Sounds like they've already ruled out any problems with your heart, kidneys, liver and stuff. So it's not due to high cholesterol, anatomic problems, or lifestyle issues. I do agree that stopping the supplements for now is a good thing to do. But for anyone with high BP, do NOT stop working out. This is actually BAD thing to do for patients with high BP.

Also, its okay for your BP to go up and down; your levels are not high enough to cause stroke or permanent damage. Your body is meant to tolerate swings in blood pressure. It sounds like your high BP swings are, indeed, due to anxiety. I'm not sure if the pills they gave you are the right ones, because honestly ER docs don't specialize in that kind of thing - only quick fixes. Go see your primary doc; tell him the whole work-up is done and is okay, but you need help with anxiety which is driving your BP up, which is not healthy for you.

Part of the whole anxiety thing is that you can't just "stop worrying" about your BP. It's part of your anxiety. Focus on getting the right treatment, whether its relaxation techniques, cognitive behavioral treatment, medication, or a combo of the above.

Good luck...

Anxiety can do strange things to a person. If your BP is all over the place due to anxiety there isn't a lot you can do about it but try to reduce the anxiety. If it is because of a medical condition, which I would say it is not since the cardiologist has cleared you, then you need to work out a treatment plan with your doctor.

There is no such thing as "too young" when you're talking about your health. Especially if there is any kind of history in your family of heart related conditions.

you were hypertensive, but at your age, I doubt a doctor is going to treat it. As for it's being elevated, you went to a doctor because you didn't feel good, it's debatable as to whether or not your bp was elevated because you didn't feel good, or you didn't feel good because it was elevated. A great many things that affect the blood pressure do not show up in lab tests, so you may have had a virus that made you feel bad, and when we don't feel good our pressures always go up.
Each time you had an elevated reading, you were not feeling good and you were in a stressful situation.... that I suspect was why your readings were up, and I don't think you felt bad because your readings were up. Check your blood pressure when you are feeling in tip top condition and are relaxed, like first thing in the morning, that will give you a better idea of what your blood pressure really is.

You are right to be concerned about high blood pressure. As you are likely aware, hypertension, as it is also know, can lead to a myriad of problems. Not to alarm you, but to be aware of the importance of dealing with the cause, the long-term result of untreated high blood pressure can lead to hardening and thickening of arteries, increased risk of heart attack due to blocked arteries, weakening and enlarging of the heart - possibly leading to congestive heart failure, increased risk of stroke, and strain on kidneys.

What can you do? Two things that have proven effective for many people in controlling their hypertension are meditation (10 million Americans practice it regularly) and yoga.
