What is a gylsen score? (glysen & cancer?)?!


Question: My dad has cancer and the Dr. told him he still has a high glysen score of 9 - what does this mean??? Am I spelling &/or saying it right b/c I can not find much info on it at all!? Can someone please help me out with this! If you can! Thank you very much!

this sounds like the GLEASON score of prostate cancer. The Gleason score is used in staging and grading this cancer, with higher scores meaning a more aggressive tumor.
