Help my friend please!!!10 points?!

Question: Okay my friend has really ugly legs, and she gets embarassed when we go to PE and out in shorts. You see, her legs are full with like some dark spots all over her, and they're from mosquito bites. What happened was that when she got a bite, she would scratch them until they scabbed, and then she would pick the scab. Then later on they turned into dark spots all over her arms and legs. She told me she went to her doctor for help, but all her doctor said was to use caladryl and benadryl. It did'nt work. But now she has no more bites, but the spots are still there. Do you think they will go away as she gets older. They kind of look like chicken pox on her. Please help!!Thanks so much.

I had the same problem when I was young. I am very allergic to mosquito bites. The scars will eventually fade until you cannot see them anymore.
putting lotion on after she gets out of the shower will help her skin, and since it will be mosquito season again soon she needs to get something with a high deet content in it to help ward off mosquitoes.
I have also heard that fabric softener sheets work wonders.
If she should get a bite she should use an anti-itch cream such as benadryl, and if she scratches it open she should use triple antibiotic and keep the area covered.
*edit* I had some fairly large scars that have all faded to the point that you can't even see them.

They sound like scars maybe

there is a cream for reducing scars that she could try. Can't recall the name of it right now but it might help

are you sure its not you?
whatever...
anyways.
it will go away.
tell her to wear jergens
to make her legs tan.

try aloe vera or bio oil sounds like scars so it should work as it helps the scarring to fade :D best of luck

they are scars... they will probably fade as time goes on. im not sure if there is anything she can use. but she needs to stop picking. hope that helps...

umm as she gets older they will get smaller and probably eventually disapear since mosquito bites are so small they'll probably be gone in 1-2 years also vitamin E oil should reduce the scars and make them less visible...tell her she shouldn't care what other people say if they're talking behing ur back or making fun of you then they aren't the people u should care about...and ur a good friend for posting this sorry i dont know more

Well if she is that embaressed then why doesn't she talk to her gym teacher and see if she can at least wear capris for a while I am sure they will understand just get a doctors note though it could help alot. :)

Hoped that helped
