Answers: What type of disease occurs if people keep wetting the bed? I know that it has to do with the kidney

Hello,

Please don't worry about this situation as Bed-wetting is fairly common. About 5 million to 7 million children even adults sometimes wet the bed. It's more common among boys than girls.

What causes bed-wetting?

Some of the causes of bed-wetting include the following:

Genetic factors (it tends to run in families)

Difficulties waking up from sleep
Slower than normal development of the central nervous system--this reduces the person's ability to stop the bladder from emptying at night

Hormonal factors (not enough hormone reduces the amount of urine made by the kidneys)

Urinary tract infections

Bed-wetting isn't caused by drinking too much before bedtime. It's not a mental or behavior problem. It doesn't happen because the person is too lazy to get out of bed to go to the bathroom.

How can my family doctor help?

First, your doctor will ask questions about your daytime and nighttime bathroom habits. Then your doctor will do a physical exam and probably a urine test (called a urinalysis). Although mostly who wet the bed are healthy, your doctor will also check for problems in the urinary tract and the bladder.
The doctor may also ask about how things are going at home and at school. Your doctor will ask about your family life, because treatment may depend on changes at home.

Although you may be worried about your bed-wetting, studies have shown that people who wet the bed are not more likely to be emotionally upset than other children.

Don't feel upset or guilty as It's important for you to know that bed-wetting isn't your "fault."

And lastly there is no disease that can occur through bed-wetting.

Good luck.
Bye.

It may be due to some neurological disorder rather that kidney disease. Although urinary tract infection, stone in the bladder etc may also cause that.

Dude, it might have nothing to do with the kidneys, most likely, but I'm no doctor so it might if you think so... But it couold be a neurological problem as Enuresis. But still you should go see a specialist, on this one.
Good luck
