Dry skin below my mouth area?!

Question: I have dry skin below my lower lip and above my chin.

doesnt matter how much lotion i use it gets dry in less than 10 min and that area is red, but not itchy.

do I have some kind of disease on my skin or is it because of the product i use? or do i just need to drink more water?

do you lick your lips alot...that could be the cause...gets some blistex...the one in the jar...I think the pink jar is best for that kind of situation

Howlong has this condition been noticeable! If is has been more than a couple weeks since it first appeared and/or gotten larger since you first noticed it, better see your doctor, as it might be an infection!

Good luck!

I had the same problem for a long time. The skin would not only be red, but would sometimes get flaky as well. This would be especially evident after showers or workouts where I would sweat. However, I have recently been trying out a new cream for the past several months and I haven't had the problem anymore. I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion (green lableled bottle). You can get it at any drugstore. Try it, it worked for me.

You could try petroleum jelly or Kei lotion.

Before buying or using read ther ladels first.

you could try olive oil or other edible fat or shortening.

If it persists, see a dermatologist.

Thanks for asking!
