Definitely keep it with you!. You could ask the attendents to put it in the fridge, but don't forget it if you change planes!. Also, you should look into a product called Frio!. They are filled with silicone and once they have been in water for about 5 minutes, they stay cool for days!. They come in different sizes and also have the added benefit of padding to keep the bottles from breaking or being knocked around!.
Also, we keep my sons insulin in a small one while we are at the beach or anywhere it could get knocked or will be in direct heat!. Now that he is on the pump, we have put his entire pump inside one when we go to an amusement park or the beach, so the insulin in his pump doesn't get heated up!.
Remember to keep all your testing strips on a carry-on, as well as lots of extras of everything - for temperature control as well as just in case they loose your bags!.
Have fun in Australia! Have you checked out what to do for healthcare there, if you need to bring an extra prescription, carry extra insurance, etc!. I know that Ireland and Australia are better than the US in terms of healthcare, but you should check it out just in case and to make things easy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There will be a fridge on the plane where the food is stored you can ask to have it stored thereWww@Answer-Health@Com

Communicate your concerns with the airline!. They should be accomodating!. Keep your insulin in your carry-on luggage and once in-flight, let them know you have sensative meds!.!.!. they can store it in the on-board cooler while in flight!. Have some Freezies, or other like product that stays cold for a long time and ask them to keep it in a freezer if available or cooler with the insulin!.
When you're off the airline, be sure your insulin is secured in a cooler tote that will keep it cool till you're where you can get it in a fridge!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take It In a Box Of Some Sort With a Cooler Block or Ask The Flight Attendents If They Can Put It In Their Fridge and Just Ask Them If You Need Some and They Will Get It For You!. Or Keep It in A Cool Bag!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

an insulin bottle which is intact and not used before needs to be in 4-8 degree C temparature!. But which has been used and remaining will be used later , it should keep in around 25 degree C !.you would get all these informatins from an insulin bottle's package of papers with those bottles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be fine!. Insulin stays effective at room temperature for 3 weeks or more!. After that it starts to poop out, or if it's exposed to heat longer than a few minutes!. If you're worried, you can buy a Frio cooling pack!. It doesn't keep it as cold as a fridge, but it's cooler than room temperature and protects from heat!. I like mine because it's easy to use and compact!. This is the "XL" size, there are smaller ones available, but 2 or 3 of these would probably do it for you:
