Getting hepatitis, and TB shots?!

Question: Getting hepatitis, and TB shots!?
is it possible to get these shots!? Or is this one of those things that happen to you when you're born in a hospital after 1979Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Hepatitis B is a routine childhood vaccination nowadays!. Not sure how old you are, so if you are young, it's possible that you already got it!. If you have been vaccianted, you can see it on your vaccination record!. If you cannot find your records, you can have a titer drawn which will test for the antibodies to see if you have immunity!. There's no vaccine for Hepatitis D, or E, and those two types are extremely rare, so it's not a big deal!. As the previous poster said, there is a vaccine for hep A, but they don't really give it much!. As far as TB goes!.!.!. there is a vaccine!.!.!.!. but only if you live in certain parts of the world!. Europe used to routinely vaccinate for TB, but I'm hearing now that they are only doing it if you live in a high risk neighborhood (not sure if that's accurate, but that's what I heard)!. It has never been available in the US, but like I said, in other parts of the world, it's routine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hepatitis A and B vaccines are available!. There is no vaccine for hep C!. The TB shot, which doesn't prevent TB, is only routinly used in countries of high incidence to protect children!.

It depends on where you live though to get the hep shots!. In the US we now get the hep B shot!. Hep A isn't given typically unless you are travelling (I believe), as its spread through contaminated food!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the TB tine shot is not a shot to get the vacine, it is a shot to test for the presence of TB in your system!.

any decent clinic will be able to help you get these shotsWww@Answer-Health@Com
