Question: My doctor felt a lump on my breast, Mammogram and US are normal-now what!?
I also have a painful lump under my armpit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably just have breast cyst!. Painful lump under the arm is the lymph node trying to clear out the cyst!.
Dr might order a Biopsy just in case!. Or order a sestamibi!.
You lay on a narrow gurney, the nuclear machine roves around you while you lay face down on the gurney!.
Some Docs order a PET scan, but not likely in your case right now!.
Every time I had a test done it was on a Friday had to wait till the mid of next week before any results!.
With my Breast Cancer I did not have any pain under my arm, but had positive cancerous lymph nodes!. There was no pain there at all!.
You are probably fine, Mammo or USound would have picked it up if you were not ok!.
I had mastectomy in one breast!.!.!.!.they found lumps in other one a year later that I just knew were cancer also, but they were not!.!.!.!.I worried all weekend just like you are doing now!.!.!.
Do not let them do a Core Biopsy only, the surface around the lump would go undiagnosed!. Guided Needle Biopsy is best!.!.!.but you probably will not need that anyway!.!.

did your doctor go over this with you after the ultrasound!? How old are you!? Was this your first Mammo!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
was the lump visible on the ultrasound!? if so you should talk with your doctor about a needle biopsy of the lump-
once the laboratory examine the fluid they're able to tell you exactly what the lump is!. if you have a lump under the armpit get it checked immediately!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is your doctor suggesting anything else!? I strongly suggest getting a second opinion from a breast surgeon!.
My OB said I didn't need to worry as I was only 28!. My breast surgeon did a needle biopsy and found stage 0 breast cancer!.

If the mammogram and US are normal then it's just probably a cyst or a tumor that is cancer-like just tissue bunched togther!. The lump under your armpit could be lung cancer!. There is a possibility(from a expierence of my own friend), but I'm not a doctor!. I would get second opinions quick!. Good luck!. God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It could be a swollen lymph node indicating that you have an infection somewhere in your body!. I myself have cystic fibrous disease, basicially meaning that I have breast lumps!. They did an ultrasound!. For months I was afraid to go to the doctor when I went my doctor told me he didn't think it was anything serious but he referred me to a specialist!. But to be on the safe side if you are still concerned get a second opinion b/c you know your body way more than the doctor does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Take a deep breath!. I know you are scared!. It may be nothing, or something!. Only the doctors can confirm this!.
You are doing the right thing by staying on top of this and not hiding!. Give yourself credit for that much!. Most Breast Cancers are slow growing, and you said that you had a Mammogram last year!. Good move!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 26 (lumpectomy followed by radiation) and again at 36 (double mastectomy and chemotherapy)!. Age has nothing to do with this!.
I married the man of my dreams after my mastectomy!. We have twins (at age 38!)
I'll be 47 in August!. I am proud to say that I am a 20 year survivor as of April 15th!.

My friend went to have a mammogram done!.!.!. but she has very dense breast tissue!.!. so the mammogram does not always pick it up they only found out after testing some more!.!. and she had 14 nodules of cysts in each breast!.!. 28 altogether!.!.!. fortunately it was not cancer !.!. but she got a bad infection from having had surgery to remove them!.!. that was last December!.!. she still needs to go to hospital as an outdoor patient every week once to have the infectious fluid drained off!.!.!.that after 4 months!.!. but under the armpit it should be much easier to find out if that is just a swollen gland!.!. we all get that sometimes!.!. I had it myself and it went away!.!. but do go for check ups regularly and do check ups yourself!.!. I have too dense breast tissue I can't check on myself!.!.!.xx
