Tetanus...?!
Question: Tetanus!.!.!.!?
Okay so,I have these shoes that have little chains on them,and the one chain was in my shoe when i was wearing them and left a rusty-mark between my toes,could it give me tetanus!?I don't think its real rust seeing as it came like that when i bought them!.!.!.Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the chain was rusty in appearance when bought why would you believe it could cause tetanus!? It would be illogical for a shoe manufacturer to make a shoe with a rusty chain to inflict a disease such as tetanus on its user!. The answer is no it most certainly wouldn't cause tetanus if they came that way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tetanus can infect any wound!. It is usually found on rusty items though!. I wouldn't worry about it unless the site become infected or you come down with a fever!. If that happens, get medical help immediately!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think you're fine!. I believe the metal has to actually pierce the skin!. It's not a bad idea to have a tetanus shot though!. They're good for like 10 years!. You could get one the next time you're at the doctor's for something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know how old you are, but tetanus shots are included in vaccines we have in school, you should have another sometime in your 20's and every decade after that!. To incur tetanus, you do have to have an open wound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
