Do cell phones cause brain cancer?!

Question: Do cell phones cause brain cancer!?
Answers:
Studies being made now show that within 10 years time a cell phone user can develop brain cancer!. However, you've probably read these articles!. If not, google them and I'm sure they'll come up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hope not ! lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

nope!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They can, and it is said they kill bees!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

suposably, yes!.
but in my opinion, no!.
otherwise we'd all be
in chemo right now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know the exact cancer, but yes, studies have shown that in the long run, cell phones can cause a type of cancer!. Its from the radiation you get from the cell phone!.

?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no!!! y wud theyWww@Answer-Health@Com

no they dont, its just an old wives taleWww@Answer-Health@Com

Everything causes cancer these days!.!.!.!.gum, diet soda, walking, looking to the left!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

noWww@Answer-Health@Com

well they are doing continuous research to try to determine if they do or not!. Cell phones emit low frequency radiation while they are turned on and while you are using them!. They do not know for sure if they cause brain cancer or not, but its possible since they emit low levels of radiation!. I do not use my cell phone unless I have to!. If you will read in the back of your instruction booklet that came with your phone it will tell you all about it!. I think its very possible that they can cause brain cancer cause anything that emits radiation on your head is not good for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No-- I thought this rumor was largely put to bed!. There is ionizing radiation-- such as that given off by uranium which does cause cancer, then there's non ionizing radiation which is not high enough energy to interact with your DNA!. These are mostly forms of light-- microwaves and radio waves such as those given off by your cell phone!.

****EDIT************

If anyone tells you "studies show they do", please request links to those studies!. People like to say that a lot but can't provide the evidence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everything you do or do not do!. Everything you eat or do not eat somehow causes cancer!. Every breath you take somehow relates to cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, it causes ear cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it might be true !.!.it depends a lot about the cellphone and the distance to the base antenna [a far away base -> more power needed!.!.!.if too close then the power of the antenna might count] !.!.!.the time spent using the phone !.!.!.!.
So in worst conditions/scenario: let's assume you're using your phone 24/7 in a low signal area!.!.i don't believe it wont cause some sort of illness maybe cancer!.!.!.!.!.BUT in normal use it should be okay !.!.!. at least for a couple of yearsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Actually--yes!. Your cell phone is a radio receiver and transmitter!. Radio waves, micro waves and etc!. are all part of the light spectrum!. Anytime you are exposed to any levels of low frequency radio waves (radiation), it disrupts biological systems, such as the circulatory and central nervous system and can cause disorientation and or collapse, and it can radically interfere and alter the natural cell growth and developement!. Cancer begins with a simple radical cell and spreads!.

The radio signal strength accepted and transmitted from a cell phone can be measured!. Years ago, I read an article in a scientific magazine whereby it stated that to mimic the affect of radio waves aimed at a person's head, scientists have found that if they mixed anti-freeze with simple powdered clay and fashioned a life-sized bust (meaning a head of a person) and attached a cell phone to its ear, if the clay begins to melt, then that frequency and its strength is harmful to a biological organism, meaning humans, animals--anything with a beating heart!.

Cell phone use translates to big bucks!. Even so, if you read the fine print at the end of your info packet that the phone companies should give you with your phone, it will say that over use of cell phones may affect your health!. But then, they say there's no hard evidence!. Cancer can take years to develope before it is detected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NOWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is certainly a real and most serious concern and we'll be seeing more and more reports as time goes on, as the true effects start to materialise!. The thing to remember is that mobile phones have only started being used extensively in the last 8 or so years!. It will take time for any definitive effects to become apparent!. (typically 10 - 20 years), therefore anyone who says that they are not harmfull is doing so without any real knowledge or understanding!

The fact is that radio frequency (RF) transmissions are DANGEROUS!. As to how dangerous, well that all depends on the intensity and duration of exposure!. No one really knows and those that say it is not a problem, have no evidence to substantiate that it is not!. Any possible adverse effects that these devices have on human tissue, should not be taken lightly! It is still early days and time will tell as it did for smoking, asbestos related products and countless of chemicals and herbacides, in the past!.
The simple fact is that everyone should be aware that the longer you use the phone the greater the adverse affects are likely to be!. There is no doubt whatsoever, and it is well documented that high levels of RF are DANGEROUS! Cell phones transmit at much lower energy levels, but their consistant and prolonged use may well have a cumalitive effect!.

Although there is no proof to indicate that mobile phones can cause cancer, there is sufficient debate and more studies happening to cause doubt as to the relative safety!. As a telecommunications engineer I am aware of the power density levels produced by mobile phones and the effect they can have on different people!.
Mobile phones transmit using radio frequency radiation (RFR)!. Dependant on the network this can range between 800MHz and 2GHz!. These are radio waves located within the electromagnetic spectrum!. X-rays which are known to cause cancer through ionizing radiation are also within the electromagnetic spectrum, however, RFRs cannot cause cancer in the same way as x-rays because RFRs are non-ionizing!.

However, high levels of RFRs can cause health effects through heating the human body (thermal effects), resulting in headaches and possibly other symptoms!.

Whilst it cannot be shown at this point in time that the thermal effects from mobile phones are a health hazard there is a considerable body of scientific literature which describes the effects of RFR in biological systems that cannot be directly attributed to heating!. These effects are referred to as non-thermal and have been demonstrated to cause alteration in animal behaviour, or changes in the functioning of cell membranes!.

To limit the possible adverse effects mobile phones may have I would suggest that anyone concerned about their use should;

- Limit the prolonged use of mobiles to under a couple of minutes at a time!.
- Use the phone in handsfree speaker mode!.
- Avoid using the phone in a confined space (such as in the car or building) as this causes the phone to radiate at the higher power levels to get a signal out!.

Personnaly I avoid using the phone as much as possible and if I need to use it I keep it under a few minutes or use it in hands free speaker phone mode!.

There is speculation!.!.!.some people say yes, some say no!. Right now there is no concrete proof that it does, but it looks like things are heading that direction!. However, there are many things that cause cancer!.!.!.but there are some many other factors involved and the incidence is so low, that you are probably ok!. Using an earpiece greatly reduces your exposure, so if you are concerned I would invest in one of those!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
