Question for those with obvious physical disabilities?!

Question: Question for those with obvious physical disabilities!?
My 5 yr old son is really curious when he sees someone in a wheelchair or missing an arm or something!. He'll say "hey what happened to your arm!?" to someone (he just did that the other day)!. The thing is, i'm not sure how to handle that!. On one hand I feel like I should let him ask, on the other hand I wonder if it's just better to tell him to hush and move him along!. I figured there was no one better to ask than those who have to deal with the curiousity of little kids!. So, how should I handle it!? Is it ok with you if a child comes up and just asks you what's wrong!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
My son would rather someone ask why he is in a wheelchair instead of whispering about him and such!. Especially since his disease cant really be seen and so days he is well enough to walk other days he uses crutches!. It all depends on his pain and strength levels for any given day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A 5-year-old, yes!. It's part of learning for them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
