Lidocaine is a local "numbing" agent or anesthetic!. The epinephrine is used to constrict blood vessels to diminish bleeding!. Common use is for numbing for sutures, doing painful procedures, cutting of skin lesions, biopsies etc!. It lasts about an hour to hour & half!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
