Because there are different types of Bulimia -one is constant eating then purging and the other one is constant eating with the inability to be sick or being afraid of being sick so if you came into the second one you would but on weight rapidly then maybe restrict your eating to compensateWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, bulimia involves binge eating and then thowing up, but unlike anorexics, bulimics do eat normally in between episodes of binging and vomiting, so it is perfectly possible for a bulimic person to be overweight!. I'm no fan of Prescott, but I can't see why he would lie about being bulimic, its not only teenage girls who suffer from eating disorders!. Hopefully this can be used to raise awareness that men and women of all ages can suffer from eating disorders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem is that the spectrum of eating disorders often overlap!. He may have had a combination of bulimia and binge eating, with the result that he still gained weight!. We have moved on a little in these enlightened times and no longer call everyone who is overweight a glutton, however the other side of the coin is that it is important not to medicalise every human frailty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
