Question: Is it possible to develop allergies to face products!?
My sister has used a certain product for her acne - face wash and cream!. She has decided to switch to something else for a few months and yesterday, she switched back to what she first used and her face is now swollen!. This has never happened when she first used it!.

Why is this and what can she do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It's possible to develop an allergy to anything!.

However, it could also be a reaction between chemicals as well; it's possible that the residue of the "new" stuff she was using for a few months clashed/reacted with her old reliable and caused a bad reaction on her skin!.

I would wait and see; don't use the face wash for a couple of days and try it again!. If it swells up again, then it could be a new allergy to it -or- it could be a bad batch of the product!. Either way, it might take a few days to find out, and at worst, she could go and ask her dermatologist what the problem is so maybe he/she could determine if it's a new allergy/chemical reaction/bad product!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's definitely possible!. People can -- and do -- develop allergies to things they never had before!. The best thing she do is to apply both benadryl cream and hydrocortisone cream to her face!. This will help the swelling!. She can also apply some ice packs to her face, as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

discontinue use of both products take a benadryl and go see a doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

That is so the story of my life!.
My face will swell and develop tiny blisters every time I use alcohol products on my skin (i don't do that anymore)
I would suggest she stick to natural products without alcohol in them!.!.!. if it stings its maybe not a good thing to use on your face I say!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
