Question: What are the steps to seeing if a tumor is cancerous!?
They have found several tumors in my liver and one the size of a fist!.
They have already done ultrasounds and just did an MRI!. What are the next steps to seeing if it is cancerous!? or can they tell just by seeing the mri!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

They can tell by taking a biopsy and then looking at the tumor cells under a microscope!. I don't know if they can or can't tell by looking at MRI results!.

They will have a good idea from the scans but to know exactly what kind of cancer it is, they would do a biopsy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They might decide to take a biopsy from your liver (that is a small sample of cells gathered using a needle)!. However, they might be able to tell from the MRI!. It depends on the location and appearance of the tumour!. Some are obviously malignant, some obviously benign, and others harder to tell!.
