What are white bumps on tonsils?!
Question: What are white bumps on tonsils!?
I have a white bump on my right tonsil!. I have had strep multiple times before but I've never had these bumps!. Are they strep or maybe some virus!. I have been coughing and had many symptoms of strep but I'm not convienced that it is!. My throat has been very sore and it looks like my tonsils are swollen!. Should I see a doctor or is it something I can deal with on my own!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound like yo have tonsillitis, in advanced forms, it can lead to white spots on the tonsils!. Your doctor can prescribe antibiotics to treat this as it's a bacterial infection!. You should see the Dr!.You probably need antibiotics You say you have had this multiple times before!. My daughter was the same way, she always was sick!. Dr!. told her she never got rid of the strep!. Never ! She has been a carrier for yrs!. At 31, which is old to have your tonsils taken out, she finally had them removed and has not been sick since!.!.!. I would advise anyone to have them removed before you get that old!. You could have strep throat, or it could very well be a tonsil stone!. get a q tip and try to see if you can move it with the q tip!. a tonsil stone is very foul smelling and they form on the tonsils even if you do not have strep throat!. Gargle with salt water, and if the problem is not gone in two days, go to the doctor!. drink plenty of fluids!. It definitely sounds like a tonsil stone!.
