I dont have lumpy breasts but I have had a lump biopsed today!. There are so many reasons for lumps!. But Im pretty sure all over lumps are okay!. I have heard that caffeine can do that!. If you are really worried you could check with a womens hospital in your major city as many have breast clinics which you may not need a doctor refererall!. Im in Melbourne, Australia and the Royal Womens Hospital have a specialised breast clinic for anyone worried about any lumps or differences!. Im sure most major cities would have the same facilities!. There is no cost and the staff are fantastic!. And hardly any waiting list!. I got in 10 days after I called and Im back again next Monday for my results which is faster than going through the private surgeon my GP originally booked me in for!. Goodluck - im sure everything will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yep i have lumpy ones too!.
they also told me caffiene!.
i guess i beleive it because i have been drinkin' coffee since i was two years old!!!
my doc told me it is not bad, just have my checkups and mammagrams like normal!.!.!. she said my risk is no greater for cancer than anyone else!.!.!.
she also said it is more greater chance for people who has cancer run in their family to get it than for woman with lumpy breasts like mine!.
so nothing to worry about!.!.!. just keep on schedule with the checkups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I also have lumpy breasts!. Women have different textures to their breasts so its not uncommon!. I had one large lump which was a fibroid tumor - I found it through a self exam and it became quite painful!. So I had to checked out, they gave me the option to have it removed (which I did for peace of mind) and it was benign!. The removal was my choice - it was not mandatory!. The doc said that fibroid are quite common in women and it does not increase your risk of cancer!. Also, he warned me to stay away from caffiene - because that can aggrevate it!.
So don't worry - it's common!. Make sure you continue with check ups (as with anything)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure that the bumps are round and or have even margins, if they do, you are probably fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a lump in my breast since I was 26!. 3 different doctors told me not to worry since it was round, mobile, and was tender!. Since cancer usually is painless, fixed, and irregular margins!. They told me it was just a cyst and to stay away from caffeine!. Just recently the "cyst" blew up to 2x the size and became very painful!. After several test and a biosy, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma!. Get a mammogram and maybe biopsy to be sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm very very surprised that your doctor would tell you that you don't need to worry about your lumpy breasts without at least doing SOME testing to determine the cause of the lumps!.

I had very lumpy dense tissue in my breasts after having 2 children!. I was sent to a breast surgeon to at least have an ultrasound down!. My surgeon also did a needle biopsy that found stage 0 breast cancer, meaning it was totally non-invasive, still in my ducts!.

If you notice ANY changes in how your breasts feel PLEASE get a second opionion!. I was only 28 when I was diagnosed!.

And contrary to what people tell you breast cancer is NOT always painless etc!. Any lump in your breast that changes at all, regardless of how it feels is worthy of getting checked out!.

Ladies, you are your own best advocates, you know your bodies better than anyone else, so if something your doctor tells you doesn't sit right, get a second opinion!. My 2nd opinion saved my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
