Ovarian cancer?!
Question: Ovarian cancer!?
Every female on my moms side of the family has had it and passed from it, and i know that i am at a very highrisk of getting it, and most likely will BUT!.!.!.whats the ideal age to get a screening for it!? Im 18!. Am i too young!? It doesnt show until age 30, as ive been told, but who knows!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your question is a very good one and I understand your concern, however there is no easy answer, as unfortunately we do not yet have a screening test for ovarian cancer!. With most cancers it is recommended that one start screening at an age 10 years younger than their family members where when they were diagnosed and you are about that age now!. About the only thing I can think of is to get a CA-125, which is a tumor marker test for ovarian cancer so you have a baseline now!. Although it cannot diagnose ovarian cancer if you have it done periodically it could give your doctor an indication that something is happening if it should start to raise!. Talk to your gynecologist about your options and make sure they know your family history!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is good idea to talk to your doctor!. You should not worry right now, but its good idea to start screening before 30 years just to make safe!.
At first, you will need a screening once in a while, lets say each couple-3 years!. Later the time between screenings would be year or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

30 is late and 18 is a type of early but it is suitable to do it now cause you may have it as inherited
you may go for the lab!. and have "CBC" and show the lymph!. ratio and the total leucocytes count
you may also go for tumer markers
and have this annualy to get the prob!. earlyif you would have it
