but new studies show that those little suckers are there for a reason (just like the apendix), and contribute to the good functioning of the our bodies as a whole!.
I can't remember exactly what they are "good" for, but my mom sent me an article to read a while ago (now that she's retired she has more time for this stuff-self educating medically-and she was kind of "sorry" for removing mine when I was a child because that was the trend then-"if she only knew then what she knows now"!.!. we are talking 25 yr ago)!. I was getting sick (throat) often, and she decided to have them removed!.
Now she advocates to keep my babies' (her grandkids) in place !!!
I think they have to do with being part of our "fighting disease mechanism", despite the general idea that they are actually responsible for getting us sick (colds)!.
Who knows!? I always say: If you were born with it (anything) and doesn't hurt, then why remove it!? (like an extra toe, tonsils, apendix)!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
